Applicants must have an income that does not exceed the Federal Requirements:

Age Limit:
Applicant must be at least 62 (if a couple, at least one must be 62).

- OR -

Under 62 years of age with a disability that is of indefinite and continued duration as well as a substantial impediment to the person's physical independence, requiring that person to live in barrier-free unit. We have nine of these units at the Cochrane House. The applicant will be requested to submit a doctor's verification as to the applicant's need for a barrier-free unit.

Other Requirements:
Applicants must have satisfactory financial arrangement for meeting the monthly rent.

A personal interview will be required at the time of an apartment referral.

Residents are expected to make an honest effort to be agreeable to other residents and employees and to cooperate with Management in maintaining harmony at all times.

Monthly rent includes heat, electricity, water, parking for one car when available, and use of the recreational and social facilities.

CRH offers the Section 8 Program, a rental subsidy program, in many of its units. At the time an apartment is referred to you, the office will be glad to determine whether you will benefit from this program.
